Two 5 & 10 km Walks: Town of Celebration and Kissimmee Old Town

DIRECTIONS
From Tampa go east on I-4, take Exit 64B, US 192, east to Celebration Ave. From Daytona/Orlando go on I-4 west, take Exit 64A, US 192. Curve onto US 192 and stay in right lane for a turn at the second light. Turn right on Celebration Ave at the water tower. From Kissimmee on US 192 turn left on Celebration Ave just after crossing under SR 417. From Cocoa & east Orlando on SR 417 take exit 2, Celebration Ave. and turn left.

For all: Enter Celebration and go to 1st stop sign, turn left to Front Street. Turn right on Front St. and Starbucks is ahead at 715 Bloom St. Park in any available place. Contact: Darlene O'Donnell, DOD54@cfl.rr.com, 407.873.0673.

TRAIL

The 5 & 10 km Town of Celebration Walk routes are annotated with descriptions of the architecture, passes through the walking trails, weaves by areas showcasing the homes, schools, parks, medical facilities, and businesses. Restrooms are available at the Start/Finish and Golf Club. The Kissimmee Old Town walk is from Celebration to Old Town which opens at 1000 and has stores, restrooms and restaurants. There are rides for kids/grandkids. Walk both during daylight hours. Pets are allowed for the walk on a leash. Please carry water. Rating: 1.

DESCRIPTION

Celebration is a town developed by Disney in 1996. The walk route is within and around the town of Celebration whose first residents moved there in June 1996. Wheelchairs and strollers acceptable.

Lake Buena Vista walk is 6 miles away and Kissimmee State Park walk only 25 miles.
