One 10 km, one 11 km, and one 5K walk within the Town of Celebration

Celebration is a town developed by Disney in 1996 whose first residents moved there in June 1996. The Town has many special events that you can find at: http://www.celebration.fl.us/celebration-events/

#1 DESCRIPTION: The 11 km walk weaves through residentinal areas, a long boardwalk, past office buildings, and then ends walking past and behind some very nice residences. Much of the walk is shaded. There are many nice restaurants and a hotel in addition to small shops and a nice ice cream parlor. The walk accommodates strollers and wheelchairs. Restrooms are available at the Start/Finish only. Walk during daylight hours. Pets are allowed on a leash. Please carry water. Rating: A1.

#2 DESCRIPTION: The 10 km walk weaves through residential areas, the fire station and Celebration Hospital, past Celebration Place's unique architecture, past the Celebration "water tower", and the golf club before finishing around the lake. Much of the walk is shaded. The walk accommodates strollers and wheelchairs. Restrooms are available at the Start/Finish and in back of the Golf Club. Walk during daylight hours. Pets are allowed on a leash. Please carry water. Rating: A1.

DIRECTIONS: From Tampa go east on I-4, take Exit 64B, US 192, east to Celebration Ave. From Daytona/Orlando go on I-4 west, take Exit 64A, Kissimmee/US 192. Merge onto US 192 and stay in right lane for a turn at the second light. Turn right on Celebration Ave at the water tower. From Cocoa & east Orlando on SR 417 take exit 2, Celebration Ave. and turn left.

For all: Enter Celebration and go to 1st stop sign at Sun Trust Bank and turn left to Front Street. Turn right on Front St. and Starbucks is ahead at 715 Bloom St. Park in any available place. Contact: Mike Lanpher, mlanpher@gmail.com, 407.695.9181.

NEARBY EVENTS: Lake Buena Vista walk in Downtown Disney is 6 miles east at I-4 exit 68. Orlando Downtown and Lakes Walks are 19 miles east.
