15 March, Winter Park Crosby YMCA
AVA Special Program: Flags, Trees, Rainbow, Cinema, Historic Places, Never Walk Alone, USA A to Z - W.
DESCRIPTION: Register from 8:30-9:00 and walk 5 or 11 kilometers with the Mid Florida Milers for a fun walk in Winter Park neighborhoods around Lake Virginia. Winter Park walk provides a detailed ground view of parts of this nice town. See Park Ave, Rollins College, and fantastic residential areas. Please carry water. Pets are Ok but not in Central Park. DIRECTIONS: Address is 2005 Mizell. From Orlando I-4 E to Exit 87, Fairbanks, turn right (E) for 3.5 miles thru Winter Park (becomes Aloma). Turn right on Lakemont. SEE ## below. From SR 417N/S use exit 38, Aloma, turn left from northbound, drive 6 miles. Left on Lakemont at Walgreens (left). ## At 1st light, turn left on Mizell. 2 blocks, right and then left to Crosby Wellness Center/YMCA. For 5K event (new route 1/14) start you will drive 2 miles to downtown Winter Park. Call Mike at 407.304.6394 on the event day.

AVA Special Program: Trees, Rainbow, USA A to Z - O.
DESCRIPTION: Register from 8:30-10:00 and walk 5 or 10 kilometers with the Mid Florida Milers for a fun walk in areas of Ocoee. Walk starts at the Super Slo Zone office in the Plantation Grove Shopping Complex. The walk is in very nice residential areas. The Super Slo office will provide information on Super Slo process. Please carry water. Pets are allowed. Strollers/wheelchairs are acceptable. For information contact Mike Lanpher at email@example.com, 407.695.9181.
DIRECTIONS: From Orlando to 284 Moore Road, Ocoee, use SR 408 (toll) and take exit 2, Good Homes Rd. Turn left onto Good Homes Rd. Turn right onto Old Winter Garden Rd. for 2.3 mi. Turn left onto Maguire Rd. for 1.3 mi and turn left onto Moore Rd. (Hess Gas on corner). Turn left at 1st street into shopping center, then immediately right to start.
Use SR FL50W (Colonial Dr.) from Orlando to Maguire. Turn left onto Maguire Rd. for 1.5 mi and turn left onto Moore Rd. (Hess on corner). Turn left at 1st street into shopping center, then immediately right to start. Call Mike at 407.304.6394 on the event day.
Sign up for lunch at the Redeye Bar & Grill (in the same shopping center past Publix, 2594 Maguire Rd.) at 12-1215 for a great meal. Biergarten in the rear and room for about 30. The restaurant is rated 4.5 of 5 on TripAdvisor and ranked #5 of 90 restaurants in Ocoee.

DESCRIPTION: We will have walking fun to walk six great walks (5/6 and 10/11 Km) from West Palm Beach to Miami South Beach. We stay in the West Palm area and bus to the walks south.

A Southeast Florida Walking Adventure, Updated Status - 13 February 2014. There are 20 rooms reserved and 31 bus riders registered. If you are planning on going, Best Western still has rooms at this rate. Please reserve a room and let the POC know so payment instructions can be provided.
Go to this LINK to register interest so we have a gauge of numbers. The cost of the bus and walks is $98 and the hotel is $80/night. Payment is required for the bus and 6 walks by 21 March (to get the bus reserved). Hotel reservations are made directly with the Best Western hotel, (561) 683-8810, using the group name “Mid Florida Milers” For information contact Mike Lanpher at firstname.lastname@example.org, 407.695.9181. We need 40 bus travelers to keep the cost at $77.

19 April 2014 - Sanford Willow Tree Restaurant
AVA Special Programs: 5 & 10K: Flags, National Historic, Trekking with Trees; 10K: Never walk Alone, Forts, Baseball.
DESCRIPTION: Register and begin the walk anytime between 9 and 10:00. Enjoy at your leisure the very nice 5 Km and the shaded 10 Km route with the Mid Florida Milers. Enjoy the historic Sanford and a renown Willow Tree restaurant lunch afterwards, ranked #1 of 152 restaurants in Sanford by Trip Adviser. Lunch planned at 11:30 so plan your walk departure accordingly. Participants should carry water. Leashed pets are allowed but not in the restaurant. Rated 1A. DIRECTIONS: Start at 205 1st St, Sanford. From Orlando to the Willow Tree Cafe at 205 1st St., use I-4E to exit 104, US 17-92. Turn left (right from Daytona) and drive to Sanford. Turn left at 1st Street. From east Orlando use SR 417, exit 50, US 17-92. Turn right. Drive to 1st St. Turn right to restaurant.
Park on the street or the in a free parking lot at Palmetto Ave. and 1st St. one block away. Call Mike for info on day of event at 407.304.6394.
