7 May 2016 Orlando North, Marks St. Sr. Ctr.

DESCRIPTION: The 5K and 10K walks start between 8:30-9:00 and are to the north of downtown and are tree lined, shaded walks near lakes through residential areas. It uses the Dinky Line Urban Trail, passes Loch Haven Park (the Museum of Art, Menello Museum), walks thru Mead Garden, and returns along Antique Row. Restrooms are available at the start, Fresh Market (on Dinky Line), Mead Garden, and some area businesses. The walk is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Pets are allowed. Please carry water. DIRECTIONS: To 99 East Marks St., Orlando, from Sanford/Daytona via I4W use Exit 84, Ivanhoe Blvd. (NOTE I4 construction can cause delays). Turn right at the bottom of the ramp. Go straight on Legion Place and merge into Orange Ave., a one-way street. Keep left and turn left onto Marks St. The Senior Center parking lot is on the left after the apartment building. From Disney/Tampa via I4E to Orlando use Exit 83A, Amelia St. Go straight at the bottom of the ramp. Keep right and turn right at the next light onto Colonial Drive (SR50E). Turn left at the second traffic light onto Magnolia Ave. a one-way street. Turn left at the first traffic light onto Marks St. Turn right into Senior Center. Info on day of event, call 407.304.6394. DESCRIPTION: The 5K and 10K walks start between 8:30-10:00 and are in residential areas and on the Little Econolotchee Trail. A route suitable for strollers and wheelchairs is available. DIRECTIONS: To the YMCA at 10501 J. Blanchard Trail, Orlando, from I4E or W use exit 82 onto SR 408E (toll) and drive to exit 20, Rouse Rd. Turn left, cross Colonial Ave., and turn left on Blanchard Trail (2.2 miles) to Jay Blanchard Park to the YMCA on the right. From SR 417N (toll) use exit 37, University. Turn right to Dean Rd. Turn right on Dean Rd. Turn left into Blanchard Trail to the Y just as you exit park. Info on day of event, call 407.304.6394. GPS: 28.609718, -81.331253.

DESCRIPTION: The 5 and 10K walks registration is between 8:30-9:00 from the start point at Phelps Park at 1200 N. Phelps Ave. as the Lakemont YMCA parking is crowded. The 5K walk start 3 miles away at the train station and walks thru downtown and Rollins College areas. The 10K walk goes thru residential streets, passes Lakes Mizell, Virginia, & Maitland on shaded, oak lined streets, visits the Rollins College campus before you see Winter Park's downtown fine shops and the excellent restaurants along Park Ave. A must stop is the Morse Museum's display of Tiffany glass art. The walk is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs but some streets are brick with no sidewalks. Pets are allowed (not inside Central Park). Please carry water. Trail Ratings: 1A. DIRECTIONS: (NOTE: I4 construction can cause delays.) To Phelps Park at 1200 N. Phelps Ave, Winter Park, from Orlando take I4E to Exit 87, Fairbanks Ave. Turn right (east) for 3.5 miles thru Winter Park (becomes Aloma Ave.). Turn left on Phelps Ave. (1st light after curve on Aloma). The Park is on the right after crossing Palmer. From SR417N use exit 38, Aloma, and turn left, drive 6.1 miles. 18 June 2016 Pirates Cove Golf - International Drive

DESCRIPTION: The 5 and 10K walks registration is between 8:30-10:00, please finish by 1:00 pm. The last time we walked in this area was January 2006. Many locals do not see this area very often and this walking tour will provide an update. Walk along International Drive with the endless shops, hotels, the Eye, Convention Center, and Pointe Orlando areas to explore. After or during the walk visit Ripley's, Madam Tussaund's, Sea Life Aquarium, Titantic exhibit, Wonder Works and south of the SR 528, the World of Chocolate Museum and Cafe. Upon return support our hosts and play a round. Trail Ratings: 1A. The walk is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Pets are not recommended. Please carry water. Trail Ratings: 1A. DIRECTIONS: (NOTE: I4 construction can cause delays.) To Pirates Cove Adventure Golf at 8501 International Drive, from Orlando on I4W use exit 74, Sand Lake Road. Turn left (from Disney, turn right) and go to the right lane. Turn right on International Dr (1st light). Move to the left lane. Turn left on Via Mercado and right into Pirates Cove Golf. Park in slots immediately after turning. From SR528W (Beachline) use exit 2, Universal Blvd, for 2 miles to Via Mercado just before the The Eye. Turn left on Via Mercado and left into the parking lot mid block. Park in slots immediately after turning. Walk to start will be ahead to right. Call 407.304.6394 for info on day of event.
