19 April 2014 - Sanford Willow Tree Restaurant
AVA Special Programs: 5 & 10K: Flags, National Historic, Trekking with Trees; 10K: Never walk Alone, Forts, Baseball.

DESCRIPTION: Register and begin the walk anytime between 9 and 10:00. Enjoy at your leisure the very nice 5 Km and the shaded 10 Km route with the Mid Florida Milers. Enjoy the historic Sanford and a renown Willow Tree restaurant lunch afterwards, ranked #1 of 152 restaurants in Sanford by Trip Adviser. Lunch planned at 11:30 so plan your walk departure accordingly. Participants should carry water. Leashed pets are allowed but not in the restaurant. Rated 1A. DIRECTIONS: Start at 205 1st St, Sanford. From Orlando to the Willow Tree Cafe at 205 1st St., use I-4E to exit 104, US 17-92. Turn left (right from Daytona) and drive to Sanford. Turn left at 1st Street. From east Orlando use SR 417, exit 50, US 17-92. Turn right. Drive to 1st St. Turn right to restaurant. Park on the street or the in a free parking lot at Palmetto Ave. and 1st St. one block away. Call Mike for info on day of event at 407.304.6394.

AVA Special Programs: #1: 5 & 10K:); Rainbow (Orange County); Lakes (Sybelia, Catherine); Trees (Orange County); National Historic (Maitland Art Ctr., 231 Packwood Ave. & Waterhouse, Lake Lily Park); Flags (Post Office, 151 Maitland Ave.; USA A-Z: M. 10K: Fraternal (Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, 541 N Lake Sybelia Drive).

DESCRIPTION: Register between 8:30-9:00 and finish anytime. The new 2014 5 & 10 km (3.8 & 6.2 mi) walk routes are tree lined walks around Maitland and through residential areas. Restrooms are available at Walgreens, Lake Sybelia Park, Jackson Park, and Lake Lily Park. Walks pass the Waterhouse Residence (Thu-Sun, 12 - 4pm) & Maitland Art Center (M-F, 10am-4:30pm; Sat-Sun, 12-4:30pm). The routes are suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Please carry water. DIRECTIONS: To 330 Orlando Ave. from Orlando take I-4E to Exit 90A, Maitland Blvd. and exit right (From Daytona use Exit 90 and turn left) to the second light, Maitland Ave. Turn right, go 1.3 miles to Packwood Ave. (1 block past the light at Horatio Ave.). Turn left, go past a fire station & city hall on left, cross Orlando Ave. and then turn right into the Walgreens parking lot. Call Mike for info on day of event at 407.304.6394.

DESCRIPTION: Register and begin the walk anytime between 8:30 and 10:00. Walk in the Eastwood residential areas and on Alafaya Trail. The routes are suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. DIRECTIONS: To Publix at 1921 S Alafaya Trail, Orlando, from Orlando on SR 50E (Colonial) turn right on Alafaya Tr. for 3.7 mi to the Eastwood development and left on Golfway to Publix on the left. Call Mike for info on day of event at 407.304.6394.

AVA Special Programs: 5 & 10K: Bakery (Sweet Escape, 603 Market St.); Lakes (Rianhard), Flags (Post Office); Diners (Market St Café, 701 Front St.); USA A-Z: C.

DESCRIPTION: Register between 8:30-9:00 and finish at your leisure. Walk Celebration #2 5km and 10km Celebration routes. The walks in the opposite direction of #1 past the golf course, residential homes, and apartments. Trail Ratings: 1A. The routes are suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Pets are allowed. DIRECTIONS: From Orlando on I-4W use Exit 64, US 192E, Kissimmee, to 2nd light, Celebration Ave. Turn right on Celebration Ave. From east Orlando on SR 417 use exit 2, Celebration Ave. & turn left. From Kissimmee on US 192 turn left on Celebration Ave. Then enter Celebration and go thru 2 stop lights to 1st stop sign (Sun Trust Bank on corner); turn left to Front Street. Turn right on Front St. and Starbucks is ahead at Bloom St. Park in any available place. Call Mike for info on day of event at 407.304.6394.
