1 August 2015 Maitland at Walgreens Pharmacy
AVA Special Programs: 5/10K: Animal Safari, Boardwalks, Fraternal Organizations, Food for Thought, Honoring our Flag, Lakes and Reservoirs, National Register of Historical Places, Trekking with Trees. DESCRIPTION: Register and begin the walk anytime between 8:30 - 9:00 am. The 5K & 10K (3.1 & 6.2 mi) walk routes are tree lined walks in Maitland, around lakes, and through residential areas. Restrooms are available at Walgreens, Lake Sybelia Park, Jackson Park, and Lake Lily Park. It passes the historical Waterhouse Residence (Thu-Sun, 12 - 4 p.m.) & the Maitland Art Center (T-Su 11am-4p.m). Strollers and wheelchairs are acceptable. Participants must carry water. DIRECTIONS: To 330 Orlando Ave. from Orlando take I-4E to Exit 90A, Maitland Blvd. and exit right (From Daytona use Exit 90 and turn left) to the second light, Maitland Ave. Turn right, go 1.3 miles to Packwood Ave. (1 block past the light at Horatio Ave.). Turn left, go past fire station & city hall on left, cross Orlando Ave. and turn right into the Walgreens parking lot. Call Mike for info on day of event at 407.304.6394. 15 August 2015 Orlando - 310 Lakeside Restaurant
AVA Special Programs: 6/10K: Honoring our Flags, National Historic Places, Fraternal Organizations, USA A-Z: O. 10K: Boardwalk, Trekking with Trees. DESCRIPTION: The Mid Florida Milers will conduct a 6 and 10 km event on the shaded streets to the north and east of Lake Eola in Colonial Town. Start the 10km walk between 8:30-9:00, finishing by 11:30. Arrive and start the 6k walk anytime between 8:30-10. After the walk will be the club annual lunch (seating for lunch is about 1130), meeting, and officer election (anyone may attend). The 310 Lakeside Restaurant hosts the lunch where we can order from the regular menu and pay separately (a 20% gratuity is required). Please carry water. Strollers and wheelchairs are OK. DIRECTIONS: 310 Lakeside Restaurant at is located on Central Blvd. facing Lake Eola. It is in the Capital Plaza 2 building (301 E. Pine St). From westbound I-4 use exit 82B, Anderson. Turn left onto E Anderson St. Turn left onto S Rosalind Ave (0.3 mi) from left lane. Turn right onto E Pine St. and parking is available in the Capitol Plaza parking garage on right side at 310 Pine Street. From eastbound I-4 use exit 82A (just after SR 408 exit) to South St. (light). Go across onto Garland for 2 blocks. Turn right on Pine and cross Orange, Magnolia, and Rosalind to the Capitol Plaza parking garage at 310 Pine Street. The parking is free until 5. Walk across Pine into the American Momentum Bldg. and through to the other side. We start from the 310 Lakeside Restaurant patio that is on the Lake Eola side (Central Blvd.). 5 September 2015 Winter Park Crosby YMCA
AVA Special Programs: 5/10K: Boardwalks (5K), Honoring our Flag, Food for Thought, Lakes and Reservoirs, National Register of Historical Places, Trekking with Trees, You Will Never Walk Alone. DESCRIPTION: Register and begin the walk anytime between 8:30 - 9:00 am. The 5K & 10K (3.1 & 6.2 mi) walk routes are along tree lined streets, around lakes, into Rollins College, and through residential areas. Restrooms are available at the start, train station, and a few businesses, and Dinky Park (Rollins). It passes the historical Knolls Chapel in Rollins. Strollers and wheelchairs are acceptable. DIRECTIONS: To Crosby YMCA at 2005 Mizell Ave. from Orlando take I-4E to Exit 87, Fairbanks Ave. and drive right (east) for 3.5 miles thru Winter Park (becomes Aloma Ave.). Turn right on Lakemont Ave. SEE ## below. From SR 417 use Exit 38, Aloma, and turn left, drive 6 miles. Turn left on Lakemont at Walgreens (on left). ## Then at the 1st light, turn left on Mizell Ave. Go 2 blocks and turn right at the 2d street as Mizell Ave. goes right, then left into the Crosby Wellness Center/YMCA. AVA Special Programs: 5/10K: Boardwalks, Honoring Our Flag, USA A-Z: D. DESCRIPTION: The Mid Florida Milers will conduct a 5 and 10 km event in the gated community of Del Webb in Davenport. The walk provides views of new and older neighborhoods, the pristine golf course, and ponds and lakes. Please carry water. Strollers and wheelchairs are OK. DIRECTIONS: NOTE: Some GPS programs may not have the start location included. To 500 Del Webb Blvd, the Community Center, from Orlando or Tampa use exit 55, US 27 toward Haines City. Drive 3 miles and turn left on Ridgewood Lakes Blvd. Drive to gate in the visitor lane; tell the guard you are "going to the Walk at Del Webb Clubhouse". Continue 2 miles on Ridgewood Lakes Blvd. until a large fountain with Del Webb Orlando on it. Turn right on Del Webb Blvd. and continue on it for slightly over a mile. The clubhouse is on the left.
