4 December, Register at 6:00 to 6:15, Winter Park @ Morse Park

DESCRIPTION: The evening walk is a guided walk of a 5 km walk route of the Winter Park YRE. The walk will be during the display of Tiffany glass sculptures and the Bach choir performance. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy the season and the art of two organizations. Trail is rated 1A and is while difficult strollers or wheelchairs can be accommodated. You must bring a flashlight. DIRECTIONS: Morse Park is adjacent to the Winter Park Golf Club (761 Old England Ave. Winter Park) off Interlachen. The routes attempt to miss traffic at Central Park. From Orlando on I-4E or I-4W take exit 88, Fairbanks Ave. Continue on Fairbanks to New York Ave. Turn left to Webster. Turn right to the golf course. Turn right on Old England and into golf course parking lot. Drive to Morse Park at rear of the lot. From east Orlando on Semoran turn toward Winter Park on SR 426W, Aloma Ave. Enter Winter Park and turn right on Lakemont. Turn left on Palmer. Turn left on Old England. Cross Webster at the golf Club and drive to Morse Park at rear of the lot off Interlachen. Call Mike for info on day of event at 407.304.6394.



6 December, 8:30-9:00 Celebration at Starbucks Coffee

DESCRIPTION: Register for a 5 or 10 km walk at Starbucks. The 5 and 10 km walks are within the Town of Celebration. The walks weave by different areas of the homes, schools, wetlands, parks, and businesses. Restrooms are available at the Start/Finish only. Wheelchairs and strollers acceptable. DIRECTIONS: To Starbuck's Coffee at 715 Bloom St., Kissimmee, from Tampa on I-4E take Exit 64, Kissimmee, right to Celebration Ave. From Sanford/Orlando on I4W take Exit 64, bear left to Kissimmee and exit onto US 192E to Celebration Ave. (2d light). Turn right on Celebration Ave. From Kissimmee on US 192W turn left on Celebration Ave. From Cocoa & east Orlando on SR 417S take exit 2, Celebration Ave. and turn left. Enter Celebration and go to 1st stop sign, turn left to Front St. Turn right to Starbucks at Bloom St. Park in any available place. Call Mike for info on day of event at 407.304.6394.

13 December, Guided Walk at Winter Park's Mead Garden Celebration

DESCRIPTION: Registration at the Mead Garden Pavilion is from 9:30 to 10:05. This is a walk at a unique time. The 5 and 10 km walks will start exactly at 10:11 a.m. on the 12th month, 13th day and 14th year of the 21st century. Or 10:11 12/13/14. The walk award is a Tee Shirt and a commemorative patch are available by only by preregistration. Get the linked preregistration flyer. At least 30 states' clubs are participating at the same time. The walk starts at 10:11. Finish by 1:00. Some light snacks will await you. Wheelchairs and strollers acceptable. Though some streets have no sidewalk and are bricked. DIRECTIONS: To Mead Garden at 1300 Denning from Orlando use I-4E or I-4W and take exit 88, Fairbanks. Turn right from Orlando, left from Sanford, and cross US 17-92 to the next light, Denning. Turn right to the park on the left. From east Orlando on SR 426W/Aloma, drive thru Winter Park and bear left at Orange Ave. At 5-way intersection at Orange, Minnesota and Denning, turn left on Denning (beyond clock on left) to the park on the left. Arrive in time to register, as the event start will be exactly at 10:11. Call Mike for info on day of event at 407.304.6394.

1 January 2015, Lake Buena Vista, Sea Dog Brewing Co

DESCRIPTION: Register and begin the walk anytime between 9:30 and 10:00. Enjoy at your leisure the decorations and festive New Years atmosphere on the 6 Km walk or the 10 Km routes with the Mid Florida Milers. Walk into and around Downtown Disney, enjoy the end of the Christmas season, and have lunch at the new Sea Dog Brewing Company (RSVPs needed by 26 Dec). Restrooms are at the start and in Downtown Disney. Strollers and wheelchairs are acceptable. Participants should carry water. Pets are not allowed. Routes are rated 1A. DIRECTIONS: To Sea Dog Brewing Co. at 8496 Palm Parkway from Orlando use I-4W and take Exit 68 and travel north (right from Orlando, left from Tampa) on SR 535 (Apopka Vineland Rd.) to the second traffic light. Turn right on Palm Parkway. Continue straight ahead to for .35 mile. Turn right at the Shoppes Vista Center sign. Call Mike at 407.304.6394 on the event day.

3 January 2015 Marks St. Senior Center

DESCRIPTION: Register and begin the walk anytime between 8:30 and 9:00. Enjoy at your leisure the 5 Km or the 10 Km routes with the Mid Florida Milers. The route is courtesy of Mary Ross. The walk uses the Dinky Way trail, visits the Loch Haven park area, and returns on Orange Ave past some antique buying opportunities. Strollers and wheelchairs are acceptable. DIRECTIONS: To 99 E Marks St., from Sanford via I-4: I-4W to downtown Orlando and use Exit 84, Ivanhoe. Turn right at bottom of ramp, then curve right on Legion Place, merge to Orange (a one-way street). Stay left & turn left on Marks St. to Senior Center on the left after an apartment building. West Orlando proceed to I-4E, use Exit 83A, Amelia. Go straight at bottom of ramp. Keep right & turn right at next light on Colonial (SR FL50E). Turn left at 2nd traffic light on Magnolia, a one-way street. Turn left at first traffic light on Marks St. to Senior Center on right. From SR 408W use I4E and follow above directions. 24 January 2015 - Central Winds Park, Winter Springs

REGISTER/START TIME: Between 8:30 to 10:00 am. Finish by 1 pm

DESCRIPTION: The 5 and 10K walks are at your own pace and excellent for you and a family. The walk will be in both residential areas and on the Cross Seminole trail. Wheelchairs and strollers acceptable, though some streets have no sidewalk. Leashed pets are allowed on a leash. Please carry water. DIRECTIONS: To Central Winds at 1000 Central Winds Drive from Orlando use I-4E or I-4W and take exit 92, SR 434. Turn right from Orlando, left from Sanford, go 7.5 miles crossing Ronald Reagan & US 17-92. Turn left to the park and left again to entrance. Follow signs. From east Orlando use SR 417N to exit 44. Turn left for 3 miles and turn right and then left to park entrance. Follow signs. Call Mike for info on day of event at 407.304.6394.
