DESCRIPTION: There are two l0K, one 6K and one 5K walks. You will walk on sidewalks in historic downtown Orlando and Colonial Town, past Lake Eola, the County Courthouse, and elegant older homes. The downtown route lets you see historic downtown Orlando, Colonial Town Historic area, Lake Eola, and County Courthouse. It passes the large fountain in Lake Eola, which was constructed in 1957 to celebrate Orlando's 100th birthday and was rebuilt in 2011. Look for the famous "black swans" or take a ride in the swan paddleboats.
The Lakes route is shaded and (including Lake Eola) passes 8 lakes which are surrounded by Orlando's charming older homes.
Both the Henry Arnett Memorial Walk Downtown and the Lakes walks will accommodate strollers and wheelchairs (though some streets have no sidewalks). Walk only during daylight hours. DIRECTIONS
CONSTRUCTION at the START: ORMC will be undergoing construction into 2014. This description may have changed. The start can be reached from the Underwood St Parking Garage. From Tampa on I-4: Take Exit 81B (Kaley St.) & turn right. Turn left at Orange Ave. to Underwood St. & turn left to Garage. From Daytona on I-4: Take Exit 82A (SR408, East-West Expressway) east toward UCF. Travel a short distance & exit on 10B, Orange Ave. as it circles to right. Turn left at Orange Ave. After the 2d light, turn right on Underwood St. to garage. From westbound SR408: Exit at Rosalind, turn left to Orange Ave. Turn left on Orange, go past 4 lights and after Columbia St. turn right on Underwood St. to garage. Parking is $4.00. From garage, walk across Underwood at the pedestrian crosswalk. Turn left then immediately right along the building. At the end of the building bear right on the sidewalk and then left into the hospital. Inside the hospital follow signs to the hotel lobby/gift shop by turning right at the first corridor and then at the next corridor, jog left, then right. Turn right at the next corridor to the Information Desk. Street parking on Sunday is free.
START/FINISH
The Information Desk is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (M-F) and 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Sa-Su). The walk must be completed during daylight hours.

Description: This 10 km walk (also 5 km) is a, treelined, and shaded walk near lakes, through residential areas, through Loch Haven Park, and along Ivanhoe Antique Row. Restrooms are available at Marks St. Senior Recreation Complex, the Orlando Museum of Art, and area businesses. An option is to visit the Mennello Museum of American Art (Tu - Sa, 10:30 to 4:30 p.m., Su, Noon - 4:30 p.m.), the Orlando Science Center (Su - Fr: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Sa: 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.), and the Orlando Museum of Art (Tu-Fr: 10am to 4pm; Sa-Su: 12pm to 4pm; Closed Mondays & Major Holidays) as well as shops along Ivanhoe Antique Row. MFM recommends all walkers carry water. The walk accommodates strollers and wheelchairs (though some streets have no sidewalks) and must be accomplished in daylight hours. Directions: To 99 East Marks Street, Orlando, from Daytona via I-4: Take I-4 west toward Orlando and use exit #84, Ivanhoe Blvd. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp. Get in left lane immediately and take the 1st turn left. Go straight on Legion Place and merge into Orange Avenue, a one-way street. Keep left and turn left onto Marks Street (2d light). The Senior Center parking lot is on the left after the apartment building. From Disney west via I-4 East to Orlando and use exit #84. Get in left lane immediately and take the 1st turn left. START/FINISH: Hours of operation, Mo-Sa: 8 a.m.- 8 p.m.; Sundays closed. The grey file Walk Box is at the reception counter in the Office. Ask a center associate for help if needed.
